Cacique is an adorable town located in the province of Colón, along the Caribbean coast of Panama. Still authentic and seemingly unexploited by mas tourism, there are ample beaches to explore. White Caribbean sand and crystal clear water are commonly found along the reef lined shores of the area. The calm, protected bays are attractive to sailors and 2 marinas are in sight from this homes magnificent view.

THE HOME

The four elements were honored in the artistic design of the home. Built facing West, the natural breezes are pulled through the home via floor to ceiling sliding glass doors in every room, teamed with the robust centralized air conditioning system, and breezy minimalist design Air has certainly been incorporated. Polished concrete offers an earthy cooling sensation as well as a visual retreat from the vibrant colors of the Caribbean sea and the untamable jungle that surrounds the property. The breathtaking covered veranda has a built in plunge pool, just next to a sunken seating area equipped with a fire feature.

Ultra clean, modern lines divide the space. Entering from the covered parking space through the open concept living room and kitchen, sliding doors frame a view that no words can describe. A rounded concrete bar separates the minimalist kitchen from the lounge and between them access the veranda. The bedrooms on each side of the communal space benefit from the 180 degree views of the hill top, and each of the bedrooms have their own bathroom and shower, and the master has a walk in closet. The covered veranda is where mornings, afternoons and evenings are spent in complete privacy, but wide open. The home was built with the capacity to add a second level, on top of the air conditioning and water reservoir of 14000 liters.

THE LAND

A private driveway leads from Cacique’s rural road up to the summit of the property’s hill, where an automatic gate welcomes you to the build site. The landscape is adorned with lush tropical vegetation, and the land climbs higher than the property’s limits giving the home a surreal backdrop of jungle canopy. To the South of the main home a second plateau exists with with 2 rustic cabanas which have equally breathtaking views. These structures were built in a utilitarian way, but offer excellent locations for future development of the land, and the property will be sold with the permits to expand.

From the home, the land quickly descends towards the coastal ecosystems where palm trees, mangroves and coral reefs thrive and support a a wide variety of marine life, contributing to tourism and local fishing, both vital to the community’s economy. Two popular tour locations can be seen from the home, Isla Mamays and the ”tunnel of love”.

THE COMMUNITY

The areas rich sailing community is well-supported by two marinas in the vicinity: Linton Bay Marina and Panamarina. Linton Bay Marina has some great facilities, a sheltered harbor, and the ability to haul boats out of the sea. Panamarina, similarly, offers robust services for yachts and sailboats, providing a gateway to explore the beautiful Caribbean waters. Both marinas contribute significantly to the local economy and are central to Cacique’s vibrant maritime culture.

Plans have been proposed to build a road directly from Panama City to Cacique. This project reflects Panama’s broader infrastructure development goals aimed at enhancing connectivity and stimulating economic growth. This ambitious project is intended to create a more efficient transportation route between Panama City, the country’s bustling capital, and the scenic coastal towns of Colón. The new road is designed to streamline this journey for tourists and city commuters, by significantly reducing travel time and improving accessibility.
